Refrigerants Global Warming Potential

Global Warming???
I guess each is left to make his or her own decision on the controversial subject of Global Warming. All I know is that we are loosing large portions of islands out here due to higher sea levels. I have been out here nearly four years now and by far, the last six to eight months has shown a very high rate of sea levels as compared to the levels over a four year period.
If you look at this picture you can see the entire tip of the South end of the island totally underwater with dead trees lingering like old skeletons of a once living object. The tide was very high yesterday and that was with calm weather. One large storm during one of these tides is sure to do some damage given the affects of a storm-surge.
There may be such a thing as Global Warming or there may not - all I know is I can see with my own eyes that the levels of the sea are rising. Whole portions of islands are being submerged. Palm trees are falling over and being swept out to sea. Dead palm trees from other islands are washing up on shore. Erosion is wreaking havoc on the
shorelines exposing UXO at a higher rate.
Don't get me wrong though, for it is not my intent to paint a "dooms-day" picture here. Heck, if you were to visit this place for the first time tomorrow you really wouldn't notice the higher seas because you are not accustomed to the environment. For someone that has been out here for a few years or even a life time, the change is obvious, and at times totally mind-blowing!
Global Warming ?
The great global warming debate. Judge for yourself with these pictures. These were taken almost exactly one year apart (Right: 30th December, 2006, Left: 28th December, 2005) of the village of Schwangau in Bavaria.
